Contra o tráfico de pessoas, Itaipu ilumina edificações de azul

Pelo segundo ano consecutivo, a Itaipu Binacional vai iluminar de azul a fachada de algumas de suas principais edificações. A ação é uma homenagem à campanha Coração Azul, que marca o Dia Mundial Contra o Tráfico de Pessoas, no dia 30 de julho. Desta vez, os monumentos escolhidos foram o Portal do Conhecimento da Universidade Federal da Integração Latino-Americana (Unila), logo após a barreira de entrada da usina, e o Centro de Recepção de Visitantes (CRV). A iluminação especial começa nesta terça-feira (26) e permanecerá acesa todas as noites, até domingo (31).

O objetivo da campanha Coração Azul é encorajar a participação das pessoas e servir de inspiração para medidas que ajudem a acabar com o tráfico de humano. O azul foi escolhido pelo Escritório das Nações Unidas sobre Drogas e Crime (UNODC) por representar a liberdade e, ao mesmo tempo, a tristeza das vítimas.

No Brasil, a campanha foi lançada em maio de 2013, com o lema “Ajude a combater esse crime: liberdade não se compra. Dignidade não se vende”. Uma das preocupações do País é alertar e prevenir que mais mulheres, especialmente, sejam vítimas do tráfico internacional de pessoas.

Além do tráfico humano, a campanha tem como missão a prevenção e o combate ao trabalho análogo ao de escravo, à servidão doméstica, à remoção de órgãos e à adoção ilegal.

Maria Emília Medeiros de Souza, coordenadora do Programa de Proteção à Criança e ao Adolescente (PPCA) de Itaipu, destaca a importância da denúncia para prevenção do crime. “Sem a denúncia, é muito difícil identificar o tráfico”, afirma. De acordo com a Polícia Federal, muitos casos de tráfico acabam tipificados como desaparecimento ou adoção ilegal.

Maria Emília cita que há alguns dias um jovem de Curitiba quase foi vítima de tráfico ao acreditar numa proposta de emprego nos Estados Unidos. Outro exemplo ocorreu alguns meses atrás, quando um grupo de 20 trabalhadores foi retirado da condição análoga à escravidão em uma fazenda em Guaraniaçu (PR), município a 215 quilômetros de Foz do Iguaçu. “Os aliciadores vendem um sonho. Mas, na verdade, não passa de um pesadelo”, disse.

Durante o evento, além da apresentação de dados sobre esse crime na fronteira, será instituído um Fórum Permanente de Enfrentamento ao Tráfico de Pessoas. A participação é gratuita.

No mesmo dia 27, na Unioeste, será aberta a exposição fotográfica “Vidas Refugiadas”, focada no cotidiano de oito mulheres refugiadas que vivem no Brasil. As imagens são do fotógrafo Victor Moriyama. A mostra ficará em cartaz por 45 dias e passará por outros pontos da cidade, como o Ecomuseu e o Aeroporto.

No dia 29, às 18h, no auditório da Ordem dos Advogados dos Brasil (OAB), ocorre o minicurso “Tráfico de Pessoas na Tríplice Fronteira”, com a antropóloga Márcia Sprandel, pesquisadora sobre o tema migrações, e com a advogada Gabriela Ferraz, coordenadora do projeto “Vidas Refugiadas”.
